This episode features Max Hay, a touring singer-songwriter, entertainer, and recording artist, who plays blues, Irish, country, reggae, jazz, acoustic, original, and folk music for pubs, bars, festival and events all over the world. Raised in Helena, Max is known for his foot-stomping, fun and lively shows.

Also featured is Butte singer-songwriter Christy Hays — a transplant from Austin, Texas. She describes her music as lyric-driven and mixed with Americana in the tradition of such singer-songwriters as Guy Clark. Long known as a storyteller, the Austin Chronicle called Christy “Lucinda Williams in a Carhartt jacket.”

Each monthly episode, featuring two artists, will last about 45 minutes and will be screened before an audience at The Myrna Loy while it is simultaneously streamed online. All episodes available for streaming thereafter.

You can’t keep good musicians down.
