Part-time Accountant Position at The Myrna Loy

Starts July ‘24 if available

The Myrna Loy, Helena’s arts and culture powerhouse is seeking a qualified, good-natured, part-time accountant, estimated 10-15 hours a week. Very flexible schedule (daytime is best but not essential), in-house and some remote work, comfortable with payroll, accrual system, audit preparation, and grant reporting a must.

We are a highly respected nonprofit with a creative, collaborative and fun team. There’s always something happening at The Myrna!

Pay scale $22/hour and up, DOE.

 Proficient in QuickBooks Online and Excel;
 Pays bills, sends invoices, records income and expenses;
 Assists with weekly deposits and reconciles banking statements;
 Administers payroll every other Wednesday;
 Files IRS and other reports;
 Generates monthly financial reports to the Board of Directors;
 Keeps documentation for grant writing and grant management;
 Collaborates with other staff on financial procedures;
 Works closely with the Executive Director on budgeting and finance;
 Prepares annual audit or financial review and works with auditors;
 Stewards confidential documents;
 Supports special events as necessary;
 Assists Executive Director with administrative tasks;
 Works closely with the Development Director to keep track of tax letters to donors.
