The East Helena Food/Culture Hub is creating a professional culinary training program in East Helena. We hope this project will become a community hub for culinary, farm-to-table, cottage production, craft, and community arts projects. It’s also designed to provide job training and generate sustainable economic development along Main Street.

The Food/Culture Hub team (Micah, Betsy, Dan, and a host of gardening volunteers) brought an apple press, pumpkins, chili, cornbread, and good cheer to the Community Gardens at EVMS on Oct 20 to celebrate the end of this year’s gardening season. We pressed, we prepared, we played. East Helena loves to share good food together.
Young filmmakers Evan Wright, Erin Maxness, Austin Giarde, and Lance Gonzales produced a short documentary film about teen life in East Helena. Just a Simple Town premiered at The Myrna Loy on Sept 29.
