This year’s Education season at The Myrna Loy kicked off with a short series of arts experiences for Intermountain Children’s Home. Over the course of the summer, Intermountain students attended classes in acting, puppetry and movement with teaching artists Retta Leaphart and Julynn Wilderson.
Charla Lucibello, one of our partners at Intermountain, had this to say about the series: “We work on spatial reasoning, body language, facial expressions, trying new things, listening, impulse control, and being more physically active. All of these things and more were covered in these workshops. A child who very rarely smiles laughed when he made his puppet fly!”
