Disability Rights Montana – ‘CRIP CAMP’ TOUR  2026

Disability Rights Montana (DRMT)—located in Helena—is organizing a ‘Crip Camp’ movie screening tour across Montana this summer. We are traveling around the State in June, July, and August to raise awareness and engagement about disability rights and how they impact every Montanan. DRMT would like to build a relationship with your community and make a positive impact for Montanans with this event.

Why is this important for Montanans?  Disability Rights will most likely affect all of us at some point in our life—if they don’t already. And if you believe Disability Rights don’t affect you, you may just not be aware of it. Disability Rights affect us all because most of us—and our loved ones—will likely age into disabilities (if not born with them) requiring the same vital and necessary services and accessibility.   Disability Rights is an important conversation right now leading up to the 2027 Montana Legislative Session. We would like to invite you to join the conversation with a ‘Crip Camp’ movie screening and discussion in, and for, your community. Ultimately, we hope that you are moved to engage in the ongoing movement with us for all Montanans.

What is ‘Crip Camp’?  ‘Crip Camp’ is a powerful Netflix documentary meant to educate and inspire people of all abilities about the historical significance of the disability rights movement.
