Families Like Ours is an evening of live storytelling, music, and connection for our community. Hosted by the Early Childhood Collaborative and the Helena Village Collective with the help of many community partners, this event creates space for parents and caregivers to share the real, unfiltered realities of building a family – including the parts that often go unspoken.
Featuring live music and three powerful storytellers, this event reminds us that no one is alone. Through stories of resilience, growth, grief, joy, and everything in between, we celebrate the many ways families are formed and defined in our community.
Inspired by Roots Family Collaborative’s Moms Like Me in Bozeman, Families Like Ours brings that same spirit of honesty and connection to Helena. By sharing our stories, we reduce isolation, spark empathy, and strengthen the support systems that help children and families thrive.
Free, Off Site child care will be available (registration link coming soon on the ecchelena.org website).
Come at 6:30 PM to settle in with live music and complimentary snacks. The concession stand will be open throughout the evening, offering drinks and additional refreshments for purchase, and join us for a meaningful evening that honors the realities of parenting and the power of community.
