THE 2025 MONTANA 48 HOUR FILM PROJECT
PREMIERE SCREENINGS & AWARDS
This special event screening features a block of short films created during The 2025 Montana 48 Hour Film Project, a unique competition that challenges filmmakers across to write, shoot, edit, and score a short 4-7-minute film in just 48 hours!
The competition took place the weekend of June 20-22, 2025, with filmmakers participating from all across the state of Montana. At the event kick-off, each filmmaking team drew a genre assignment. They were given a series of required elements to incorporate into their film, including a character, a prop, and a line of dialogue. The competition is part of a larger international event that takes place in over 120+ cities across 7 continents!
The screened films are judged by a panel of film professionals to determine the 2025 Best in Montana Winner. The winner, along with various other awards, will be announced after the screening. The Best in Montana Winner will advance to Filmapalooza, the 48HFP’s International Best Of event held in March 2026 in Lisbon, Portugal. There, it will compete against other city winners from around the world for the coveted title of Best 48 Hour Film, a chance at the grand prize, and an opportunity to screen at the Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival 2026!
We invite you to come out, support Montana filmmakers, and cast your vote for your audience favorite!
The Montana 48 Hour Film Project is sponsored by the Montana Chamber of Commerce.
