Queen City Ballet Company presents:
The Bang Group (NYC); A Night of Classical and Contemporary Dance

The Bang Group is a rhythm-driven, theatrical dance company based in New York City that spans contemporary and percussive forms. Founded and directed by Jeffrey Kazin and David Parker in 1995, the company tours widely throughout North America and Europe and is best known for its comic, subversive, neo-vaudeville Nutcracker, Nut/Cracked, now in its 23rd season.

The Bang Group performs regularly in New York City at venues including Arts On Site, 92YNY, New York Live Arts, Danspace Project, The Flea, and Symphony Space. The company has also developed a second home in Boston through sustained partnerships with Summer Stages Dance, the Institute of Contemporary Art, and The Dance Complex. It has enjoyed nine seasons at The Yard on Martha’s Vineyard and 16 years in residence at the West End Theater on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. TBG supports a wide range of New England artists through its DANCE NOW|Boston initiative, which entered its 10th season in May 2025.

Queen City Ballet Company, based in Helena, Montana, is known for its high-caliber classical training, original productions, and commitment to advancing the arts in the region. This collaboration with The Bang Group marks a unique and exciting fusion of innovative contemporary dance and classical ballet.

This evening’s performance features dancers Louise Benkelman (a Helena native and Queen City Ballet alum), Dylan Baker, Amber Sloan, Tommy Seibold, and The Bang Group co-directors David Parker and Jeffrey Kazin. This special, not-to-be-missed performance at The Myrna Loy includes a collaborative work featuring dancers from both Queen City Ballet Company and The Bang Group.
